I also tried the procedure described in 9.2.2 of the pcb manual but any test that I add vanishes when I do the "convert selection to element" step. Is there support for text in footprints? I'd actually like to be able to put it in copper for when I make my own boards but perhaps this is a bit crazy and at least I guess there is a way to do it in silk?
