(XP is dead too, but some people still use it.) Well, you chose the bitter pill today ... Was that the red one or blue? ;-) This reply will add to your useless niche info. :-) Or, it may add to Tomas' collection of editors. ;-) For DOS, I mostly just use MS-DOS EDIT, but also use a VI clone called Elvis. The VI.EXE calls ELVIS.EXE. It seems to have correct EX and ED command support. Apparently, I have an older version, i.e., 1.8 (Jan 29, 1994) for DOS. This was as ELV18EXE.ZIP. Elvis http://elvis.the-little-red-haired-girl.org/ ELV18EXE.ZIP is here on a Garbo mirror. http://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/pc/garbo/pc/editor/ http://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/unix/editors/elvis/ Wikipedia's Elvis text editor page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elvis_(text_editor) Rod Pemberton -- The Paris Agreement is irrelevant.
