What information? In a posterior post you wrote that are using C:
D: F: G: H: J: K:, i.e. 7 HD, and latter, you wrote that 1 HD is
partitioned (1). This info there are not in the original post.

There are a wide range of possible causes for your problem. My
crystall ball is broken, and I can't see the OS are you using, or
the configuration of your machine, etc. Although DJGPP (in caps,
please) and Mingw are ports of gcc, they have differents goals:
DJGPP is for DOS, and Mingw for Windows.

If you need help, 'ask humble, stay humble, and learn' (2). OTOH,
if you decide for Mingw, well, it's your choice.

(1) My machine can handle up to 4 HD. Are you using a special
driver for handle more?. This would be a good candidate for you
problem. But of course, I'm making only a guess.
