That's no a problem of makefiles, but of DJGPP in general.  It uses
\dev to emulate parts of Unix' /dev device-as-a-file representations.
It's strictly recommended you don't even have a \dev directory, on any
harddrive or disk, to work with DJGPP-compiled programs.
