There's something strange as hda7 should be before hda8 in the >DOZE lettering of drives. Oops, an error. It is: hda7 f [free] 128 Mbytes 4 kB/Cluster hda8 g [free] 128 Mbytes 4 kB/Cluster hda9 h /usr/src [my sources] 256 MBytes 8 kB/Cluster >2. How did you manage to get 4kB clusters on hda5. That should be 2kiB >cluster if you let DOZE format create it. Yes in theorie !!! Whenever I have used fdisk and format I get only 4 kByte Clutser but no 2 kByte clusters. I think, this is a bug un the german Version of msdos 6.22. I do not like to buy Partition Magic because it is too expensive and I do not like to use an illegal Copy of it. I like to stay with GNU. Is there a GPL'ed tool to format correctly ??? Same is for partition of 32 MBytes... Partition Magic can do maximiseing partitions perfectly, if I choose 512 Byte Clusters for example... >3.
