Is there really a double ':' after that 'c' in the original error
message?

How exactly did you run the compiler?  What's the name of the source
file?  Are you sure you unzipped the stuff correctly (from Win98, in
your case, using an LFN-aware unzipping program)?  *Do* you have a
file streambuf.h anywhere below c:\djgpp?  If so, where?  What's the
output of "dir" trying to list that file?

Don't "be sure" --- *show* them, so people who know these things quite
a bit better than you're likely to, at the moment, can check your
assessments.
