(nothing is put in the man and doc directories, though). i got a lot of warnings, which i ignored, and an executable was built but it was too big. stripping and upxing the executable was enough. i then ran it with some of the samples in http://snark.ptc.spbu.ru/~uwe/lout/slides.pdf and it created the ps output for them (although i got a DSC warning is gsview).
