(I guess not - probably this is fault of WinXP) I don't know. if you setup a shortcut somewhere there are a number of settings like the following on the shortcut properties, not the window property:- a) Program->Avanced there is compatible hardware timer emulation.... I wonder if this will fix timing problems where the timers don't work as they did on W9x or DOS. b) Misc there are a number of settings that are to do with text mode There are a number of other settings. If you do get it to work better could you send me an email (remove the .au in the email address). >Anohter idea - I wounder will it be possible to write some hmm program that >will a Dos 32-bit program (RHIDE, DJGPP programs) and will take care of >displaying textmode (maybe read A000 of program conventional memory, and/or >take care of BIOS interrupts for displaying text) ? Maybe some path for >Dos-Box in XP is already made ? There are a number of utils/libraries in the V2TK directory for directly access the video hardware in text mode. Another method is that there are a few Windows IDE's that work with DJGPP. Some are better than others, but IMHO non come close to Rhide. There is a version of Rhide for Windows that you may want to look at to see what it can do. Andrew
