I really didn't have a lot of time, and I was actually hoping that someone
out there had already done it and could share the experience. Sorry. It is
actually difficult for me to explain the problem when I don't know what the
problem is. I could only explain symtoms.

I really do appreciate that. But I think it's OK now. The package is
completely ported and I put it in a little *surprise* that I'm hoping to
upload to a server soon. I let you guys know then.

BTW: Does anyone need ncurses 5.2 for DJGPP... I don't know if I will have
enough server space for it. too :-(
