Is this xemacs? I tried using it to read news before. I got bogged down in trying to figure out how to configure and operate the newsreader, and gave up after an hour or so. It may be easy to use to someone who already knows how, but the learning curve violates Department of Transformation safety regulations regarding the maximum grade of a slope. (Yes, I did notice that xemacs has a tutorial mode of some kind, but it's hard to even use that effectively when you haven't mastered the really hairy internal window-system that is used in lieu of standard window decorations, alt-f4 etc., creating a chicken-and-egg problem...) -- Still waters run deep.
