Here's more info; I don't know if this helps.  Here are some screen dumps
using "-v". I had to type these in by hand (so there may be a typo) -- the
windows error box comes up after this is output, and I couldn't select the
text and copy/paste it.

Note that I have "Hello World" C and C++ files at C:\test2.c and
C:\test1.cpp, respectively.
