Well, from the perspective of lightning, I dont' think that plate armor is
going to increase your conductivity that much.

Remember, we've enough energy to ionize air, so usually it's enough to be the
tallest proximate object or nearby to it.

Survival advice for armored men is the same as for unarmored field grunts.
Stay away from open fields and hilltops.  Find a small tree surrounded by
taller trees, or find shelter.
