Does this mean that the command has to be smartdrv /n/f ? If yes, then it is strange. Here's what 'smartdrv /?' has to say :- /X Disables write-caching for all drives . . . /F Writes cached data before command prompt returns (default). /N Doesn't write cached data before command prompt returns. . The /N/F switches should not work together, should they? By the way, it is rather strange that no one else saw this before.
