It refuses to generate the pipe character ("|") in a DOZE box. I suspect this is because I can't set COUNTRY and/or use DISPLAY.SYS in CONFIG.SYS. As piping is rather fundamental this is a showstopper for serious use of bash. (And yes in NOTEPAD the pipe character can be generated.) Right, MartinS
