This could be added to the instructions for installing DJGPP. AFAIK DJGPP programs currently run without any environment variables being set, as long as they can find a DPMI server. If Win2k must be detected, then relying on environment variable is not a very good solution, since I imagine that most users will forget to set it, leading to FAQs.
