I also tried to "install" the emergency disk in Bochs on virtual C: but it didn't work for some reason, though the same emergency code boots under Bochs from A:. Either M$ completely disabled booting from C in their emergency code or made it sloppy. The reason I tried the emergency IO.SYS/MSDOS.SYS/COMMAND.COM is that I wanted to install it onto my HDD and boot faster from it. But it will not work as is 'coz there's no support for HDD or a extra bug. -- Alexei A.
