Please ask more specific questions. I have to initalise a Force/Torque measuring unit through teh serial port. Some short character strings must me sent out to improve this Like: 0x8e, 0x02, test_byte, CSUM or 0xa0, 0x02, zero_byte, CSUM I also have to read the response of the device. It is a UniForce F/T measure unit, but I don't know the data bit, stop bit, parity configuration. I tried to access it with Windows Hyperterminal, but I do not have any practice in serial communication. Finally I have to create an executable, which makes some initialisations on the device, using a message protocoll, which is given. Maybe you have some guess for it.
