I am running win2k on a thinkpad with 64 MB memory / 2 GB free disk space. When I go to compile (make) in rhide, I get a memory exception. However, the program actually does compile and when I get into a new dos window, it runs. Actually, the first time it runs in a given dos window, I get a bad name or file message then it runs fine. Every time after that first run in a given dos window the program runs fine with no problems. Granted, since I am using a real simple program to make sure the environment works, it might cover up the the problem cited in the FAQ for thinkpads. So is it that rhide uses the dos extensions and there are PCMCIA driver issues and my programs are too simple to shw the problem. I did notice the tmpdir variable and will look into that further.
