I have done exactly as you suggest, the = directory c:\grafm contains the *.afm files as required. The command make -f generate\makefile afmdir=3Dc:\grafm produces the following afmtodit -dgenerate/../DESC -e generate/../text.enc \=20 'generate/afmname c:\grafm/AvantGarde-Demi.afm' generate/textmap AB C:\DJGPP\BIN/sed.exe: cant read afmtodit: No such file or directory this is followed for all the other fonts. Thank you for your note. I have done = exactly as you=20 suggest, the directory
c:\grafm contains the *.afm files as=20 required.
The command
 
        = make -f=20 generate\makefile afmdir=3Dc:\grafm
 
produces the following
