Etc., etc. With IE 3.02 I get the error "The server returned extended information" or "Unable to connect, please restart Internet Explorer and try again" (might not be exact wording). Between getting those two errors, I was able to connect with DOS FTP client ok. FWIW, I often come across FTP sites that cannot be accessed with a web browser. One site even returned an error message saying I was rejected because I was "probably using a brain-dead web browser" !
