I browsed that section of the FAQ quite long ago. Let's take a look...
FAQ 2.30, Chapter 22.1 - Problems with using RHIDE.
There is nothing about full-screen mode. Full-screen is mentioned in terms
of debugger, gfx programs, etc. Nothing about text modes with RHIDE. 
I think this should be clearly stated there in the Chapter 22.1.
