Please note that this is only a beta release. ONLY people who are interested in TESTING this package should download it. Others SHOULD NOT use this as it is likely to contain bugs in them. ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/beta/shl20is.zip ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/beta/shl20ib.zip ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/beta/shl20id.zip The GNU Sh-utils (Shell Utilities) package contains many programs such as test, expr, pwd, date, basename, dirname, etc. which are frequently used in shell scripts. New programs have been added since the previous port 1.12. These include factor, pinky, seq, stty, users, who. Also, false and true which were earlier scripts are now EXEs. I request interested people to test this port and see if any there are any bugs in them since there have been many changes compared to the earlier port. Some of the things that need testing are: 1> Configuring from different drives and rebuliding with and without LFN support. 2> `make check', `make install'. 3> See if `stty' causes any problems such as hangs, reboots. The file djgpp/readme mentions how to go about building the package. Please direct any bugs, suggestions, comments to c.o.m.d. or write to the E-Mail gateway djgpp AT delorie DOT com. Thanks in advance. Prashant
