Bill Gates has a vision of what he wants computers to be like, and windows is the answer. Unfortunately his vision of what computers should be, and what they actually are is quite different. Microsoft has no regard to the experienced computer user and their only function is to write software for dummies and manipulate the entire PC evolution to thier benefit. This is an unfair practice, because windows is ONLY an operating system and it only propose is to load programs off the hard disk.. ie Plug and Pray and those annoying ATX cases that can only be switched off from the windows shut down menu. I am no expert, but when I buy a computer, I do not want Microsoft dictating what software or hardware I can or cant use. (ie,no DOS suport in Windows ME) Mark Mendes da Costa wrote in message news:38F570E8 DOT 7E483766 AT itsmyparty DOT com DOT au... > Hello. > > I am not a big computer nut, but I have been tuning into this newsgroup > and others and find an alarming amount of insults to Microsoft.
