Firstly I would like to say sorry for my last post about Visual FoxPro and GPL. It was inappropriate for this mailing list. I sent it by mistake to this list instead of another users mailing list. Now regarding my problem which concerns the Gnu File Utilities, in particular "ls". Below is some output from the ls program: total 101 drwxr-xr-x 14 dosuser root 1824 Dec 2 14:09 allegro drwxr-xr-x 2 dosuser root 5472 Nov 5 10:51 bin drwxr-xr-x 4 dosuser root 64 Nov 5 10:52 contrib -rw-r--r-- 1 dosuser root 17982 Nov 1 1995 copying -rw-r--r-- 1 dosuser root 2084 Jun 3 1999 copying.dj -rw-r--r-- 1 dosuser root 25265 Nov 1 1995 copying.lib -rw-r--r-- 1 dosuser root 3522 Dec 24 15:19 djgpp.env ... Trimmed it down a bit ... drwxr-xr-x 6 dosuser root 128 Nov 5 10:52 share drwxr-xr-x 3 dosuser root 256 Nov 18 09:47 src drwxr-xr-x 2 dosuser root 64 Nov 5 10:51 tmp As you can see, the year reported for some files is wrong, especially for directories. The date for some files are displayed as NN:NN instead of YYYY. djgpp.env in this example is dated Dec 24, 1999. This also fails for 2000 dates. Emacs dired, as a result, also reports wrong file dates, since it just redirects the output of ls to the dired buffer. Has anyone made some bug-fixes to solve this problem? Where can I find them? I ask this question so that I'll know if I have to make them myself. Otherwise, I'd be wasting my time fixing a problem that someone else has already fixed. Any response to this message, adverse or otherwise, is welcomed.
