Problem is, even with DirectX, Windows is still there, lurking in the background, making things run slow. Even more annoying is when you're in the middle of a DOS game/program (in this case, the ZSNES Super Nintendo emulator) and you accidentaly hit the Windows key, or Windows decides to run another program, and Windows won't let you re-enter your game. Anyways, recently I bought Bleem, a Playstation emulator that works on the software level, translating code/data meant for the Sony Playstation into code/data for the PC as the game runs. Well, this morning, both ideas crashed into each other. Run DirectX games under DOS using a translator/emulator similar to Bleem. Does anyone think this idea is possible?
