South Africa). I'm fairly new in DJGPP's programming group. I recently did downloads and starting to get into game programming on my spare time. Could you please tell me in either C or C++ how to identify the process id of a running process/program. The reason for this is, my program is getting input file from another system and triggers an EDI ( electronic data interchage ) translator to translate the message into edifact. The problem is if the translator program is already running I can't issue another trigger, my program has to wait for that process to finish running. Two process of the translator cancel out each other the the programs abend. Don't ask me why... I didn't write the translator program. ( hehehehehehe ) Currently I don't know how to identify a running process within C or C++. Please note that the translator is the software that the company bought and I'm not allowed to do any changes to it. Your help is highly appreciated.
