I just want, like 4 routines. Install, getsample into a buffer, playsample, and uninstall. That's all. Does noone write libraries that don't come including their bloody lifestory? The whole DMA / memory locking thing is particularly tricky. Allegro took up 40MB of space on my hard disk. Argh! No wonder people aren't being as prodigious with their output as they might be. Martynas Kunigelis' MKKBD is an excellent example of what's right. It just reads the bloody keyboard, it takes 5 minutes to understand, it has no parameters, perfect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why pamper life's complexity, when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seee-eee-aaat? http://www.greenaum.demon.co.uk/
