What you see is the network time-out. But the odd part is that it is preceded by a drive letter. So I don't understand why it would be looking for a UNC. But on further attempt I realized there are some more blatent problems with UNC's in DOS (using command.com from DOS 7.2): My machine name on my LAN is Endlisnis, and I have a share called 'movies'. I typed "dir C:\\endlisnis\movies" and I got a listing of the contents of the share. I typed "cd C:\\endlisnis\movies" and my prompt changed to "C:\endlisnis\movies" which of course it not a valid directory. Typing 'dir' gives the invalid directory message. -- (\/) Endlisnis (\/) s257m AT unb DOT ca Endlisnis AT HotMail DOT com ICQ: 32959047
