I'm not even sure if this reply would help, but I have seen PERL work on my Windows 95 and 98 machines. There is a multi-threaded HTTP, FTP and Proxy server for Windows NT and Windows 95 called "Sambar Server", and it includes a binary (appropriate term?) called "perl.exe" in the installation. I can use that exe in the 95/98 command line: perl myprogram.pl The script does get executed right in my dos-prompt. I don't know if this is related to a different perl question regarding WIN95 since I never read the original message, but I hope this can help.
