The problem is I'm returned to windows with the classical error "This program has preformed an illegal operation..." It then gives me the fault location, in this case it is FF3C:A1E9 if I means anything. I am able to compile everything by hand to obj files. I am also able to use make in dos while using cwsdpmi in dos as my dpmi server. When I use make in windows it gives me weird gibberish and between it I can see some of my environment settings. I should add that I just installed the new drivers for the SoundBlaster live, but I hope that isn't the problem. If you need more info feel free to ask. I'm just as baffled as any. The fact that things work in dos should mean that there is a problem with Windows, that I'll check. I would also just like to find out what the general rule on the FILE= setting in the config.sys should be, it is currently set to 60 as I saw in the example you wrote in the FAQ.
