At least with Computerboards CIO-DAS1602/16 (A/D converters, D/A converters and much more) there were no serious problems to access card at port level. Also You may try to look for Linux drivers that maybe usefull to understand how to work with card (eg. Linux Lab project: http://www.llp.fu-berlin.de). Andris
