I even reinstalled DJGPP thinking my aborted installation of RSXNTDJ had screwed something up - nope. I then found the following at dejanews: http://x25.deja.com/getdoc.xp?AN=477421681&CONTEXT=927316008.957415447&hitnum=0 "You must make sure that when you save rhide options that your project is closed. i.e. go into rhide close the project and re save." since this was a new installation, I have no idea why a project was open in the first place. As soon as I closed the project, reopened the single file I was working on... voila... my menus are back again. Yeeeehaw! Never thought I'd be that happy to see a C compiler working... :-) God I love this newsgroup. Especially the archives, oh, and Dejanews too.
