I've just noticed a rather stupid omission from the libsocket Downloads page. To use the the Winsock 2 support in libsocket 0.7.4 betas 2 & 3, you need to install a virtual device driver called SOCK.VXD in the 'system' directory off the Windows directory. This can be done by using the 'installvxd' target of the Makefiles, like so: make -f Makefile.src installvxd I will update the documentation accordingly. Sorry for any inconvenience. -- ========================================================================== Rich Dawe - 4th-year MSci Physicist @ Bristol University, UK richdawe AT bigfoot DOT com, http://www.bigfoot.com/~richdawe/ ==========================================================================
