Well, I don't know much about that aspect, but it seems that DJGPP could very well be improved to ADD support for this type of thing...but that's not what I was getting at when I said write my own OS...I'd love to get a project together to start a brand new OS, something that would emulate as many other OSes as possible so as to run various other apps...I know some of these projects already exist, but the attraction in this idea is...could we do it...if we could, what an accomplishment...I envision an OpenSource GUI OS unlike any other that's ever been seen,....of course...that's just me:) and I'm a dreamer:) WG
