Mail about the list itself should probaby go to me personally, but here's the answer: today's been a busy day. When the list gets busy, the exploder switches from immediate delivery to queued delivery, so things get out of sequence (the queued ones show up later than the immediate ones). This is just a safety valve to keep the mailer from going completely wacky and stopping altogether.
