enquire.c is indeed an interesting program, producing a diagnostic
as well as float.h and limits.h.  To run it "> sh enquire.c"
I found it convenient to add this line to the general settings
in `djgpp.env'

+CC=gcc

and in enquire.c to change "/bin/rm" to "rm" in two places.  The
difference in the diagnostic output under dos and under windows
repeats the warning which has been given again and again on this
news group
