I only fired up rsxide a couple of times and haven't really used it. I think what he means is you have to select your editor and toolset. If you click on rsxide, and after it comes up, 'ide', you'll see two things on the menu, editor and compiler. These let you select the compiler and related tools, as well as the editor. That was my problem; I have PFE but prefer Vim, and I couldn't get gVim to play nice with the dde scheme.
