As I remeber I built these binaries in end of April. There were 2 later releases where some problems were fixed (Begin of June and October) including crashes in some conditions. So I suggest downloading newest update from Simtelnet. > Please note that gxx.exe, which comes from djdev202.zip, works fine > with both LFN=y and LFN=n; on the other hand, gcc.exe, which comes > from gcc281.zip, works ONLY with LFN=n in the environment. > > Please also note that the same executables works fine both with LFN=y and > LFN=y with DJGPP 2.01. > > Eli: i think this problem/bug is not specific to my pc config... > but if you think it is, i can specify my pc config both software > and hardware (remeber i use Ms-Win98 4.10.1998 of 15th May 1998, > italian version). > > also, i repost crash traceback and registers' contents printed when GCC > dies: Unfortunately I cannot use them (and I'm afraid nobody can). Some general suggestions Maybe it would be usefull to upload separate archive with map files: (eg. nm --extern-only gcc.exe | sort >gcc.map). I don't think they should be located in Simtelnet but possibility to get such files would help). Andris
