You'll find you get a lot more success in a forum like this if you ask
specific questions.  Few people probably have the time to tutor you
personally, but if you can narrow your trouble, it can often be answered
simply.  What is it that confuses you?

If you think the documentation is poor, send your suggestions to
Allegro's maintainer <shawn AT talula DOT demon DOT co DOT uk> -- I'm sure Shawn wants
the documentation to be as helpful as possible.
