The HTML version is also available from DJ Delorie's server, http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/v2faq/. In addition, there are two other archives: faq211s.zip includes the FAQ sources and the tools required to generate the FAQ in all supported format; and faq211p.zip includes the printable versions of the FAQ (PostScript, PCL, and DVI formats), for those who'd like a hardcopy on their desk. Be warned, though: the printed copy is about 210 pages, so get your paper stock ready! This release includes numerous improvements (support for typesetting a printed version with TeX, inclusion of section numbers in the HTML version, etc.); many small errors were also fixed. In addition, I added several important sections, like the one which describes how to interpret the crash dumps and how to debug programs using the info printed when the program crashes. See the file WHATSNEW.faq for a detailed log of changes. The file README.faq tells you what else you can do with this distribution, and how. Many people wrote to me during the 18 months since the release of the previous version, and sent suggestions for changes, corrections for typos and wrong URLs, etc. Many thanks to all of them; the full list of the contributors can be found at the end of the FAQ. If you'd like to rebuild the FAQ from sources, please note that you will need the latest version of the ported makeinfo program (see my other announcement today). The previous version had several subtle bugs that would prevent the FAQ from being correctly generated.
