There are several RAM disk drivers for DOS that allow you to resize the disk size without rebooting. They are on SimTel. I don't know about Windows 95, though. FWIW, on Windows 95, my TMPDIR is set to point to a real disk. I find the performance satisfactory enough (Windows 9X disk cache is quite good).
