My sound board is a Microsoft Windows Sound System (WSS). It uses
the Analog Devices AD1848 chip.

I wrote a DOS sound file player for it which you can rip off if you
want:

This code should be pretty portable. It didn't take a lot of
modification to make it work under Linux.

Info on the AD1848 chip came from the Analog Devices web site.
Additional information came from Hannu Savolainen's Voxware
sound driver for Linux.
