DJGPP is mainly meant for DOS so why is it so > slow in dos. i.e. real dos. Windows 95/98 uses disk cache...wich makes it very fast.....for disk accessing... sadly it(combined with everything else) makes it horrendously slow in alot of other things..but that's another topic...
