I've been coding for years, and I've written a few decent programs in that time, although recently it's been with my own libs for fast 2d and 3d, but nothings come close to being as playable as the first game I wrote on the amiga when I was a kid, it was a text adventure, and I put all my effort into the plot and [game] engine and none into anything else (I couldn't DO anything else). It came off well and I've recently made the move back to 2d so I can spend more time concentrating on the game rather than the front-end.
