Thank you all who responded to my previous message.

as cam and or nenette sugested I tried to use allegro but I have trouble
with the make.  I run it in the allegro directory as dictated by the faq and
all the .txt files but it gives me an error.  and the error says something
to the effect of :
cc1.exe: warnings are treated as errors
io.h redifinition of size_t
conflicting types for  _osmajor previously declaration
conflicting types for  _osmajor previous declaration
conflicting types for sys_errlist previuos declaration

Please Help!!!!  Thank you.
