Why? If you blit 1000 screens/sec, neither any monitor or your eyes will be able to profit of that. The usual screen update rate for most screens is between 60 and 90 redraws pes second, and they are constant for the resolution used. If you blit 180 screens/sec on a screen that getting redrawed 90times a sec you'll loose half of the screens anyway or you'll get trashy graphics. I don't remember how to do a vga_retrace_wait_routine, but I remember that it's just a few lines and I'm sure somebody else in this newsgroup can help you... Hope it helps Ludvig Larsson
