Try the Programmer's Vault at http://www.chesworth.com/pv/vault/vault.htm which has a couple of Windows/DirectX programming files. > Is is possible to use GLIDE in DOS? > (There's a game, "Grand Theft Auto" which uses 3dfx, and > at Diamond's site (http://www.diamondmm.com/underground/) > in Demos section there's a link to GTA demo, which says, > that GTA uses GLIDE) I'm not sure, but I thought that GLIDE was DOS-based, and not Windows based. My reasons for thinking this is that several 3DFX games open up a DOSBOX saying somthing like "setting up GLIDE environment..." before the game itself opens. Yes, GTA uses GLIDE. Anything using native 3DFX support (that is not Direct3D or similar APIs) must use GLIDE (I think). Although I've heard that Argonaut's BRender API is used in several games (I-War, Carmageddon, Croc...) I think that BRender in turn uses GLIDE to use the card.
