Subject: trouble compiling c++

Ok, well so i've downloaded *hopefully* everything i need to compile
c/c++ but still when trying to compile c++ (using gcc and -lstdc )i
get an error about '_throw' something i can't remember now, exactely.
And when I  try gxx it says it can't find 'crtf.o'

what's wrong here?

help will be greatly appreciated.....
