Try using the VESA drivers or the MACH64 driver when selecting your graphics mode in Allegro. You could try getting Display Doctor from Scitech and see if that helps. Also make sure you have called set_color_depth otherwise it will default to 8-bit colour anyway! On my ATI XPERT with the Mach 64 driver, I can get 24-bit colour at 1024x768. In Windows I run 800x600 with 32-bit colour. I've found that the drivers cannot get a mach 64 up to 32-bit colour. Has anyone else found this? James Arthur jaa AT arfa DOT clara DOT net
