That's what I want. Since I'm using gxx at a command promp to compile anyway, it makes little difference. I just hope there's still a DOS prompt. >You can >compile a program from the editor indicating what command line you >want to use in "Tool&Ops|Options|Run program (which one)" then >pressing CTRL+F9 the editor will call it and collect the errors. >Additionally I guess you'll need to: >1) Run the editor in the %DJDIR%/share/setedit directory to setup >your defaults (colors, video mode, fonts, palette, etc). >2) Running in the same directory enable the "Tool&Ops|Options|Editor >General|Don't create desktop files" I guess that's better for people >that run things from W95 direct access links. OK, I'll try this. >But again, that's an editor, not an IDE. Here's a couple of ideas for the editor, anyway (I hear you're taking suggestions): If you're still going to keep syntax highlighting in the editor (yes please) how about adding support for more languages (including HTML). I don't really care about languages other than C++ and HTML, but marking up my HTML code would be a nice touch. And a DOS promt menu entry which defaults to the current directory (where you loaded/saved the last file from/to). James Arthur jaa AT arfa DOT clara DOT net
